I’m working as merchant navy since December 2013, so I have completed my first contract and came back home 🇺🇦 from my first ship in beg of July 2014.
I have a cousin who have been already familiar with #BTC at that time and we were spending a lot of time together.I came back from my trip with a good money in my pocket and had around 8-9k$. The summer in Odesa was hot and nice so I was partying in nightclubs,restaurants and so on quite frequently.
My cousin sees this and he start telling me “Bro, invest at least 1000$ in Bitcoin and forget about it for next 5 years”. I did not fully understand what is this and consider that is completely scam so I didn’t. For your info if we are going back to BTC chart history in July 2014 it was worth ~525$ and price was bearish as it keeps falling. So in the best case scenario I could have bought almost or around 2 BTC but I didn’t.🤷‍♂️
So the next time I have heard about BTC in summer 2017 when Bitcoin was in bull market and my friend just told me that BTC reaches 3000$ but I was keep skeptic and still consider it a scam.
The next BTC story I heard from same friend and he was telling to me that “Imagine bitcoin price reaches 13000$ “ it was back in December 2017 that time I already considered that it will be 0$ and could not rise more.
This was my first time hearing about Bitcoin but I never consider it different than just a scam or financial ponzi scheme.
Finally when I was working in 🇳🇬 company in 2021 the guys keep asking me if I’m in crypto, cause almost all nigerians onboard were doing crypto, and start asking my colleagues how to trade,invest sell and etc. Especially I became interested when one of lowest rank guy onboard had made per one day profit of 1700$ on crypto when his monthly salary been around 1300$. #cryptotalks #lifestory

بحلول يونيو 2023، كنت قد عدت للتو من عقد آخر وانتقلت إلى أيرلندا 🇮🇪.
في تلك المرحلة، كانت محفظتي تساوي حوالي 11,000 دولار.

على مدار أوائل 2024، أصبحت مركّزًا بشدة على الإيردروب، والرهانات، وزراعة النظام البيئي داخل كوزموس.
لم يكن الأمر مجرد تداول بعد الآن — بل مشاركة استراتيجية.

رحلة العملات المشفرة - الجزء الرابع 💡 | من التصفية إلى الرؤية طويلة المدى

في صباح اليوم التالي لتصفية مركزي القصير على بيتكوين، بالكاد وصلتُ إلى مقابلتي في السفارة الأمريكية - منهكًا ومحبطًا.

ولكن بطريقة ما... سارت الأمور على ما يرام ✅

عدتُ إلى المنزل واتخذتُ قرارًا:
🔁 لا مزيد من العقود الآجلة.
📈 العودة إلى الاستثمار الفوري - بعقلٍ أكثر صفاءً.

أودعتُ حوالي 1000 دولار وبدأتُ من جديد.

هذه المرة، تعمقتُ في #CoinMarketCap، وبحثتُ في مئات العملات. في تلك الليلة، بدأتُ بشراء ما قيمته 10-15 دولارًا من كل عملة بدت واعدة.

بنهاية الليلة، كنتُ أمتلك أكثر من 30 عملة مشفرة مختلفة.

لم أكن أعرف ذلك بعد، لكن هذا كان أول درس حقيقي لي في التنويع.

ماذا حدث بعد ذلك؟

بدأ السوق يتعافى بسرعة - كان ذلك في ديسمبر 2022، وبدأ "رالي سانتا" الشهير 🎅📈

رأيتُ بعض العملات ترتفع من 10 دولارات إلى 15 أو 20 دولارًا. كانت المكاسب طفيفة، لكنها ثابتة.

مع ذلك، أدركتُ أنني قد فرطتُ في الاستثمار.

لذلك اتخذتُ خطوة أخرى -

كنتُ أرى منشورات ومقاطع فيديو باستمرار عن أشخاص يكسبون أموالًا حقيقية من مهام بسيطة - خاصةً مع الضجة حول Arbitrum وAptos. لكن في ذلك الوقت، كنتُ لا أزال مستثمرًا فوريًا - أشتري وأحتفظ وأراقب.

Crypto Journey Part 3 ⚡ | Liquidations, Lessons & Late-Night Trades

After a year of observing the market, I got pulled back in.
📆 In November 2022, I became interested in Futures Trading. I joined a few Telegram groups with signals, saw all the ads promising massive profits, and decided to try again — deposited $100.

I got a signal. Took the trade.
And just like that — liquidated. 🤡

It hit hard.

But instead of quitting, I doubled down — started reading, watching YouTube trading channels, and trying to understand what went wrong.

I deposited another $150 and followed another signal. This time, liquidation hit even faster — right during the FTX collapse, when the market tanked unexpectedly. The bearish move wiped me out before I could even react.

I blamed the signal providers at first. I was frustrated. It felt unfair.

But I didn’t give up.

I found new Telegram channels, more reliable ones — some offering decent signals, and I even started private trading deals, sharing profits 50/50 with a few guys.

By that time, Bitcoin had dropped below $16,000 — if you remember how brutal the crash was after FTX went down.

Around the same time, I relocated from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 to Romania 🇷🇴, since the war in Ukraine had already turned into full-scale invasion. Life was unstable — but I clung to trading as something I could control.

🗓 From November to December 2022, I focused only on futures.
Sometimes I hit big wins — $800+ in a single trade.
Other days, liquidation again.

But this time, I wasn’t just gambling — I was learning, testing strategies, staying connected to the market 24/7.
I was obsessed.

Then came the next turning point…

📉 In late December, as BTC started recovering, I was holding short positions.
It was risky.
I didn’t sleep the night before my U.S. Embassy interview in Bucharest — glued to the charts, stressed, waiting for the bounce.
And yes… I got liquidated again….

Let’s rewind to summer 2021 — I was getting more and more curious about the world of crypto. I wanted to invest, but life was moving fast…

🏝 I was on vacation

🏢 Looking for a new company

🏠 Bought my first apartment

🚗 Got my first Porsche (yes, really)

💸 And most of my money? Locked in Bonds

By the time I got home on June 1st, 2021, I already had an offer to join the next ship on July 10th. I had neither the time nor the liquidity to jump into crypto right away.

But finally — in September 2021 — I returned home, and that’s when it all began.

📲 I registered on #Binance and made my first deposit: $3,000

Crypto was everywhere that year. Everyone was talking about Bitcoin, and one of my friends helped me get started. I bought my first coins without knowing anything about charts, trends, or market psychology.

Back then, my favorite token was #GALA — not because of the fundamentals, but because it sounded like my grandma’s name: Galina. Everyone used to call her “Gala” ❤️

At that time, I barely knew what I was doing — I just figured out how to deposit fiat, buy, and sell. 😅

Here’s a snapshot of my balance from back then (attached 📸).

My early portfolio included coins like:

💎 $ETH

🌊 $ADA

⚡️ $XRP

…and whatever was trending on #CoinMarketCap.

I was mainly testing how everything worked. I even started paying bills in crypto — like at restaurants — just to see if I could actually use it.

By October 2021, I had spent my entire balance and simply started observing the market instead.

From October 2021 to November 2022, I wasn’t holding any coins — but I kept reading, watching, learning every single day.
