🚨 #USJobsData – What’s really happening with US jobs?

In September 2025, non-farm payrolls increased by 119,000 jobs — a stronger-than-expected bounce after August’s drop of 4,000 jobs.

But, at the same time, the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.4% (from 4.3% in August) — the highest level in about four years.

Job gains in September were mainly in healthcare, food services & social assistance, while sectors like transportation/warehousing and federal government saw losses.

Meanwhile, average wages rose modestly: hourly earnings increased by about 0.2%, continuing a roughly 3.8% year-on-year wage growth for private-sector workers.

👉 What does this mean?

The labour market remains mixed: hiring is happening — but the rise in unemployment rate shows more people are entering the labor force or seeking jobs, making competition stiffer.

For investors and markets: the data complicates things — stronger job growth argues against immediate interest-rate cuts, but rising unemployment and softness in some sectors give the central bank a possible reason to ease.

For workers: wage growth continues — but with job-market volatility and layoffs in some sectors, job security remains uncertain.
