🚨 P2P Scam Alert! 🚨
On 15 October 2025, I encountered a scammer posing as a buyer on a P2P platform. He offered to purchase $1,200 worth of $ETH , and we agreed on the terms. The buyer sent a payment confirmation message, which looked legitimate. However, I noticed that the payment was not reflected in my account balance.
Before I could release the $ETH , the buyer cancelled the order and reported a fake payment issue to the platform. The payment was reversed, and the buyer disappeared with my crypto. 😳
*Lesson Learned:*
1. *Verify payment confirmation*: Don't rely on messages or screenshots. Verify payments directly with your bank or wallet.
2. *Be cautious of fake buyers*: Scammers can pose as legitimate buyers. Verify the buyer's identity and payment before releasing the crypto.
