$FOGO Technically, the project is really strong: Firedancer under the hood, 40 ms block time, 136K TPS peak according to Chainspect – this is not marketing, these are real figures. Raised $21M from Cobie, CMS Holdings, Binance. The mainnet is live, 10 dApps at launch, listed on the top-3 exchanges. But the price went from $0.14 to $0.027 – the market voted with its feet.
Firstly, the narrative “fast L1 for trading” – this is already an occupied niche. Hyperliquid does the same but already with $1B+ liquidity and without competitors at the mindshare level.
Secondly, the tokenomics are pressing: currently, there are 3.8B in circulation out of 10B – that is, 60% of the tokens are still locked, the Echo round unlocks from September 2026 over 4 years. This is a constant overhead.
Thirdly, ~10 dApps at launch – this is empty for an ecosystem that positions itself as infrastructure.
In summary: they bought the #Fogo narrative and Binance hype, getting an empty chain with nice benchmarks. For growth, we need not TPS, but liquidity, TVL, and at least one killer dApp.
Until that happens – this is an expensive testnet with a token.
