This is one of my favorite channel patterns, which forms when the price moves in a wave and then a corrective wave.
The price moved upwards on Wednesday and downwards on Thursday.
These channels represent the trend over the previous two days.
A hypothetical triangle has formed, which is the triangle outlined in white. This represents the area where the channels meet.
Trading this pattern works as follows:
Buy when the triangle breaks upwards, wait for a retest, and then enter a buy position.
Sell when the triangle breaks downwards, wait for a retest, and then enter a sell position.
I wanted to share this pattern, and I will repost the chart after the day's trading session to comment on it and see how the price interacted with the channels and the triangle.
