🚨 Bitcoin Just Executed a Classic Liquidity Trap… Is a Bigger Drop Coming?

Take a closer look at this chart.

Bitcoin recently swept liquidity above the $71,000 – $71,300 zone, pushing quickly toward $73K before getting aggressively rejected. Moves like this are rarely random. In many cases, this is what traders call a liquidity grab — a move designed to trigger stop losses and trap breakout traders.

What makes this level important?

For several days, $71K acted as a key resistance zone where a large cluster of liquidity was sitting. Once price pushed above it, many traders likely entered late long positions, expecting a continuation toward new highs.

But instead…

⚠️ The market reversed sharply and fell back below the level.

This kind of price behavior often signals that smart money may have already taken the liquidity they needed.

Now the key question becomes:
Where could $BTC go next?

📉 Key downside levels to watch:

🔹 $66K – $67K
This is the first important support zone inside the current range. If this level fails to hold, momentum could accelerate to the downside.

🔹 $63K – $62.8K
A major support level and also near the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement. This zone has historically attracted strong reactions.

🔹 Below $62K
If panic selling starts and liquidity builds underneath, we could even see a deeper correction toward $60K or lower before the market stabilizes.

Remember:
Markets rarely move in a straight line. Before major moves happen, liquidity hunts are very common.

Right now the structure suggests the market may be entering a distribution phase, where price moves sideways or slightly upward to trap more traders before the next significant move.

📊 My current bias:

As long as $71K remains resistance, the probability favors a move toward $66K and potentially $63K.

Of course, if Bitcoin reclaims $71K and holds it as support, the bearish scenario could quickly become invalid.

So the next few days could be very important for $BTC short-term direction.
