Today, most people see AI as a tool that responds. You ask a question and receive a text, an image, or an analysis. But the future points to something different: AI that acts autonomously, executing real tasks.

To understand this better, let's think about two different ways to use artificial intelligence.
The first is the one we already know. It’s the classic model: you ask a question, the system analyzes data, and gives you an answer. You decide what to do with that information.
But the next step is the so-called AI agents economy.
In that model, artificial intelligence not only responds but also executes actions. It can analyze information, make decisions, and activate processes automatically.
For example:
An AI agent could analyze the market, detect an investment opportunity, and execute a trade without human intervention.
Another agent could manage logistics, choose suppliers, or adjust prices in real time.
When many AIs start to interact with each other, a complete ecosystem of automated decisions forms.

How do we know that those decisions are correct?

It’s a logic very similar to how verification works in distributed networks: you don't rely on a single actor, but on collective validation.

For years, the goal of artificial intelligence was simple: to create larger and more powerful models.

If AI agents are going to participate in economic, technological, or even social decisions, we will need mechanisms that constantly verify what they are doing.
Because the future will probably not be a world with a single powerful AI.
It will be a world where many artificial intelligences work together, question each other, and validate their decisions.
And maybe that’s where the true evolution of this technology lies.
Not that AI thinks faster than us.
But rather that there is a network capable of ensuring that it is thinking correctly.
