Bitcoin Declines as Growth Assets Weaken

Bitcoin briefly reached a peak above US$126,000 in October, before correcting by more than 50%. On February 5, the price of BTC even fell to around US$60,000 before recovering.

According to Grayscale, this pattern shows Bitcoin's character as sensitive to risk sentiment. When investors sell technology stocks and high-value growth assets, funds also exit Bitcoin.

In the last 12 months, BTC's movements have been said to correlate with high-value software company stocks.

These stocks are generally traded based on expectations of future growth and are heavily influenced by investor confidence. When confidence weakens, prices correct quickly. Bitcoin shows a similar pattern.

Pressure on the technology sector has also recently been triggered by concerns that artificial intelligence could disrupt traditional software business models. As a result, technology stocks have corrected, and Bitcoin has moved almost in sync.

The price of Bitcoin (BTC) is moving in a narrow range and has failed to continue its rally, while Pippin and LayerZero (ZRO) have surged more than 20% in one session.

In the midst of BTC's consolidation phase, these two altcoins made it to the top gainers list and led the market rise.

This movement occurred as the price of Bitcoin was held at a crucial technical level, with momentum beginning to show signs of slowing down. This condition triggered a rotation of funds into assets with higher volatility.

PIPPIN recorded a sharp recovery after bouncing off the area of US$0.15. The V-shaped rebound pattern reflects the influx of buying pressure in a short period.

On the daily chart, the price has entered the Ichimoku Cloud area, which is often interpreted as a transition phase from a downtrend to consolidation. The Tenkan-sen line is approaching a crossover with the Kijun-sen, an early signal of strengthening momentum.

RSI is moving up and nearing overbought territory. The US$0.50 to US$0.54 level becomes key resistance. If it can be broken with strong volume, the chance for a new high opens up in the near future.

LayerZero (ZRO) recorded its strongest weekly candle since March 2025. The price surge brought this token close to the upper limit of the descending parallel channel that has restricted movement for the past few months.

The price briefly moved above the upper Bollinger Band on the weekly chart, indicating an expansion of volatility. RSI shows an upward trend without negative divergence.

The area of US$2.90 to US$3.10 becomes a crucial point. A consistent closing price above US$3 will strengthen the trend reversal signal and open up further upward space.
