The monthly spot trading volume on cryptocurrency exchanges in August reached $1.86 trillion, the highest level since January 2025.

The spot trading volume in August increased by 5% compared to $1.77 trillion in July. The largest share was held by exchange #Binance — $737.1 billion. #ByBit took second place with a trading volume in August of $126.5 billion, surpassing #Bitget with $126.1 billion.

The increase in trading volume on exchanges in August coincided with a change in investor interest in $ETH -ETF over the past few weeks.

Additionally, trading volume on decentralized exchanges in August rose to $368.8 billion, also the highest level since January. The leader was Uniswap $UNI with $143 billion, followed by PancakeSwap $CAKE with $58.7 billion.
