Early this morning, David Prinçay, CEO of Binance France, had his home targeted in a chilling attack.

Here’s what happened 👇
Around 7 a.m., three masked men forced their way into an apartment building.
They broke into the wrong apartment first, reportedly searching for Prinçay’s home.
When they finally reached his unit, he and his family weren’t there.
The attackers stole two mobile phones and fled.

But this wasn’t random, and it’s not the first.

🇫🇷 France is seeing a disturbing rise in crypto-related physical crimes.

Back in January 2025, David Balland, co-founder of Ledger, was kidnapped from his home in Méreau.

First Trough: The price falls and reaches a low point, representing the first trough of the W pattern. This decline is usually a continuation of an existing downtrend.

Temporary Resistance: After the first trough, the price rises slightly, hitting a resistance level where the upward momentum stalls. This brief rally creates the middle of the “W.”

Second Trough: The price drops again but fails to break below the first trough, signaling a loss of downward strength. This forms the second bottom of the W shape.

👉 I understand why this is happening — especially in a weak, uncertain market where crypto-native demand is drying up. But that doesn’t mean it’s good for crypto.
👉 This strategy doesn’t push people toward DeFi.
It pulls attention away from it.
👉 Instead of encouraging users to explore permissionless lending, decentralized exchanges, and on-chain financial primitives, ⚓ it anchors activity around familiar TradFi assets traded on a centralized platform.
👉 The assets change form, but the power structure doesn’t.
🐂 In bull markets, DeFi grows because people are willing to learn something new.

🐻‍❄️ In bear markets, fear dominates — and this approach leans into familiarity instead of decentralization.
Tokenized stocks and commodities don’t decentralize finance. They recentralize crypto. And over time, that logic spreads, slowly pushing DeFi to the edges until it stops being the priority.
So yes — 👁️‍🗨️ I see the strategy.
Yes — 🧿 it may even work.
👉 But if crypto survives by becoming a cleaner interface for TradFi, then DeFi doesn’t die loudly. It just gets strategically replaced.
👉 And that’s the part I don’t like.

We are trading all crypto principles for the promise of gold !
The debate "Btc vs Gold" looks like a cruel joke now doesn't it ?
