Meanwhile, @Ocean Protocol has launched its new product, Ocean Networkđ§
This looks extremely important.
In short, the idea is to bridge the gap between hardware owners and users.
This allows unused GPUs/CPUs around the world to be monetized, making computing more accessible, cheaper, and decentralized, without dependence on centralized cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud.
--------------------------
It works very simply:
- Node operators run software to provide computing power and receive rewards;
- Developers select resources from the catalog, pay for them, and run tasks via CLI or IDE;
--------------------------
The network supports the orchestration of complex computational workflows, the publication of datasets and algorithms, with a focus on decentralized AI and data processing.
Overall, Ocean Network is focused on creating a global ecosystem of decentralized computing where anyone can participate as a resource provider or consumer.
This is HUGE, and I will cover this topic in more detail in the future.
