Iran has launched a significant missile assault on Israel, with reports confirming that multiple projectiles struck Israeli territory. This marks the second major offensive from Iran this year, following a similar attack in April when hundreds of missiles and drones targeted Israeli locations. Although the Israeli military has indicated the immediate threat from Iran appears to have subsided, the extent of the damage remains unclear.
This recent strike involved around 180 missiles, surpassing April's barrage of approximately 140 ballistic and cruise missiles. Israeli officials reported that several missiles landed in central and southern regions of the country. Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have used hypersonic missiles for the first time, stating that 90% of the missiles hit their intended targets, including three Israeli military bases.
