Dolomite is a decentralized money market protocol built to maximize the utility of deposited assets. The platform allows users to lend, borrow, or trade while also offering curated strategies that simplify complex decentralized finance (DeFi) activities. The protocol is designed to support a broad range of tokens, working with standard ERC-20 tokens and other types of assets commonly used across DeFi.
Dolomite uses three main tokens to run its ecosystem, each serving a different role in governance, liquidity, and rewards:

How Dolomite Works
Most DeFi lending platforms require you to give up certain benefits of your tokens once they are deposited. However, Dolomite allows you to retain these benefits, such as staking rewards, vesting, or voting rights, while still using the same tokens as collateral. This is enabled by Dolomite’s virtual liquidity system and modular architecture, which together form the foundation of its capital-efficient design.
Modular architecture
Dolomite is built with a two-layer design:
The core layer is immutable, responsible for enforcing security rules and routing smart contracts. It’s deliberately rigid, allowing only limited parameter adjustments, and provides a stable and reliable foundation for the protocol.The module layer adds flexibility by handling the day-to-day functions of the platform, such as deposits, trades, and liquidations. This layer is regularly updated to introduce new assets and features, ensuring the protocol can adapt to changing user needs.
When you interact with Dolomite, for example, by depositing funds or opening a trade, the module layer combines your actions into a single operation. This operation is then executed by the core layer, which maintains the system's security while still allowing it to improve over time.
Virtual liquidity system
Dolomite introduces a virtual liquidity system that pools all user deposits into a single Dolomite Balance. This balance works as a unified account that you can apply across the different services offered by the protocol.
Instead of transferring tokens on-chain each time you take an action, Dolomite records the changes internally. This design enables one token to serve multiple purposes simultaneously. You can earn lending interest on it, use it as collateral for borrowing, and also collect swap fees without needing to move it out of the system.
Behind the scenes, a smart contract updates its internal ledger to reflect these activities. By avoiding frequent on-chain transfers, the protocol reduces transaction costs and makes your capital more efficient. This approach also gives you greater flexibility and helps prevent liquidity from being locked during times of market stress, making it easier for you to manage your positions.
Key Features
Earn 
The protocol provides multiple earning opportunities, including interest from lending, fees from liquidity provision, and potential returns from leveraged trading. Because of the virtual liquidity system, a single asset can work in several ways at once, allowing you to collect multiple types of yield at the same time.
Borrow
When you borrow on Dolomite, each position is isolated and managed separately. Your deposits are not automatically used as collateral, and you choose which assets to assign to a borrow position. This gives you more control over your risk, since a liquidation only affects the position involved while your other loans remain untouched.
Strategies
Dolomite offers prebuilt strategies for borrowing and trading that you can set up with only a few clicks. These are pre-made positions designed to help you use more advanced DeFi strategies, such as looping or hedging, without needing to build them from scratch. The idea is to make complex strategies easier to understand and apply, especially for new users. 
Zap 
With Dolomite’s Zap feature, you can swap assets directly within the platform. Zap connects to decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregators to find you the best available price. This means you can swap into tokens that are normally harder to access or adjust your borrow positions instantly. Since Zap is built directly into borrow positions, you can rebalance or restructure them without leaving Dolomite, making asset management easier and more efficient.
Dolomite Tokens
veDOLO
veDOLO is a version of DOLO that you get by locking the base token for up to two years. While locked, it grants you governance power to vote on protocol decisions, a share of the platform's fees, and additional rewards for providing liquidity. Because it is issued as a transferable non-fungible token (NFT), veDOLO can be moved or managed like other digital assets. The longer you keep your tokens locked, the more voting power and rewards you gain.
oDOLO
A reward token that is distributed weekly to liquidity providers. It must be paired one-to-one with DOLO to convert into veDOLO, offering discounts that depend on the lock duration. This mechanism creates long-term buy pressure on DOLO, supports protocol-owned liquidity, and helps stabilize the ecosystem.
DOLO
The DOLO token is an ERC-20 token and the native utility token of the Dolomite network. It provides liquidity for lending pools, supports exchange markets, and can be converted into veDOLO to participate in governance. The token was launched on Berachain through a lock-and-mint system powered by Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), enabling smooth cross-chain transfers across Dolomite’s supported networks.
The three tokens are designed to operate in a reinforcing cycle: oDOLO generates demand for DOLO, and together they convert into veDOLO. This model links liquidity rewards with governance, so incentives and decisions are connected, which helps maintain a balanced Dolomite ecosystem.
Dolomite (DOLO) on Binance HODLer Airdrops
On August 27, 2025, Binance announced DOLO as the 33rd project on the Binance HODLer Airdrops. Users who subscribed their BNB to Simple Earn and/or On-Chain Yields products from August 3 to 6 were eligible to receive DOLO airdrops. A total of 15 million DOLO tokens were allocated to the program, accounting for 1.50% of the total token supply.
