Look, most of you are just donating liquidity to the market. I see it every cycle. You see $SOL pump 3% and scream about the new bull run, only to get Rekt three days later. I lost a decent chunk of my portfolio back in the day because I was listening to Twitter furus instead of watching the data.
Here is the thing... profits are not made by guessing. They are made by tracking liquidity flow.
THE REAL SIGNAL (NOT TWITTER)
Stop refreshing your feed. The only metric that matters right now is the Blockchain Center Altcoin Season Index.
It is simple math. If 75% of the Top 50 coins perform better than Bitcoin over the last 90 days, it is Altseason. If the index is below 25? It is Bitcoin Season.
Right now in early 2026, we are hovering in the middle. Buying heavy here is gambling. I only start to ape in heavily when we cross the 35-40 mark with momentum. Otherwise, you are just a bagholder waiting to happen.
THE DOMINANCE TRAP
You cannot trade alts without watching BTC.D (Bitcoin Dominance).
If Bitcoin Dominance is above 56% and rising? Do not touch your buy button. Even solid projects like $FET or $RNDR will bleed against BTC in this environment.
I want to see BTC.D hit a resistance level (maybe around 58%) and get rejected hard. That liquidity flows from Bitcoin -> Ethereum -> Large Caps. That is the law of the jungle.
MY UNPOPULAR OPINION
Call me crazy, but DCA is for losers when it comes to altcoins.
Yeah, I said it. Dollar Cost Averaging is great for Bitcoin. But for volatile alts? You are just catching falling knives. I would rather buy $SOL at $75 on a confirmed breakout than catch it at $150 while it is crashing. Buy strength, not weakness.
YOUR PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST
Before you open that trade, check these :
BTC Dominance: Is it falling on the weekly chart?
ETH/BTC Pair: Is Ethereum waking up? (Must be above 0.045)
The Index: Is the Altseason Index crossing 35 upwards?
USDT Dominance: Is it dropping below 4.5%?
If the answer is NO, sit on your hands. Cash is a position too.
