Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is reported to be safe and in good condition, despite earlier rumors claiming he was injured during the recent conflict.
According to statements shared by the Iranian president’s son and government adviser Yousef Pezeshkian, the leader is “safe and sound.” Earlier media reports suggested he may have been wounded during the first day of U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.
Iranian state media referred to him as a “wounded veteran of the Ramadan war,” but no official details about injuries have been confirmed. Mojtaba Khamenei has not yet appeared publicly since taking leadership after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which fueled speculation about his condition.
For now, Iranian officials insist that the new leader remains safe.
