When I first entered crypto, one thing confused me.
Why do altcoins suddenly explode after Bitcoin moves?
After reading and observing the market for a while, this is the simplest explanation I found
Most new money enters crypto through Bitcoin first.
When Bitcoin makes a big move and then starts slowing down or moving sideways, traders begin looking for higher returns elsewhere.
That’s when capital slowly rotates into altcoins.
So the cycle often looks like this:
Bitcoin pumps → Bitcoin stabilizes → Altcoins start running.
This is what people refer to as “Altseason.”
But one thing I’m realizing while learning this market is…
Not every altcoin benefits.
Usually the attention goes to projects with:
• strong narratives
• new tech or innovation
• heavy community hype
Still learning every day, but understanding how money flows in the market already makes crypto feel much less random.
