Iran’s Shahed drone costs about $20K, and to intercept it the U.S. uses Patriot PAC-3 missiles costing around $4M.

To intercept one Iranian drone, the U.S. has to fire 4–5 Patriot missiles.

That means the U.S. is paying $16M–$20M to stop a single $20,000 drone.

And this is where it gets more concerning.

Iran can reportedly produce thousands of these drones daily, while the U.S. produces only 650 Patriot missiles per year.

In just 6 days, the U.S. has spent about $5.4 billion on this war, roughly 26% of Iran’s entire annual military budget.

The gap is huge.
