The Shibarium Layer-2 network, a core scaling solution in the Shiba Inu $SHIB ecosystem, has issued a connection advisory to users after several community members reported difficulties accessing the chain through wallets and explorers.

According to an update from the official Shibarium SHIB.io X account, most of the reported connectivity problems stem from incorrect or outdated RPC settings within users’ wallet configurations rather than an outright network failure. To help resolve this, the team posted step-by-step tips aimed at restoring access.

Wallet Connection Issues: Simple Fixes Advised

Shibarium’s message emphasized that network infrastructure remains stable and fully operational. Users who experience trouble connecting are encouraged to:

• clear their wallet cache

• delete the existing Shibarium network profile

• re-add it using the correct RPC configuration

The announcement stressed that in most cases, this process immediately fixes connection errors — and users’ wallet balances and transaction capabilities remain unaffected.

Explorer Indexing & Token Display Problems

In a companion update, the #Shibarium team acknowledged that explorer indexing delays and recent backend changes have led to tokens or NFTs not showing up correctly in block explorers or wallet interfaces. The account clarified that this is a display issue rather than a problem with on-chain data.

The network has recently migrated some services to new servers, which may have temporarily impacted indexing speeds. However, users were reassured that asset security and on-chain operations are unaffected.

Looking Ahead: Privacy Upgrade in Q2 2026

Shibarium’s official notices also pointed to a privacy enhancement upgrade scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, expected to strengthen the security and technical capabilities of the Layer-2 chain. Holders and developers are urged to follow official channels for ongoing updates and guidance.
