Escalation in the Middle East: Will Bitcoin Crash?
In a recent YouTube video on TimWarren Crypto, Tim spoke about the possible consequences for Bitcoin and many crypto currencies if there was an attack in the Middle East. He emphasized that through the history of Bitcoin, every time there has been an armed conflict in the Middle East the asset has come down briefly but has rebounded in a significant way in matter of days. Tim believes that areas of rebound could be in the neighborhood of 56K USD for #Bitcoin or if there is a nice liquidity pool right after 70K USD.
On February 28, 2026, Israel and the United States launched coordinated preemptive airstrikes against Iran, codenamed "Roaring Lion" by Israel and "Operation Epic Fury" by the US, targeting military and nuclear sites in Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, Karaj, and Bushehr. Explosions rocked downtown Tehran near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's offices, prompting a nationwide state of emergency in Israel and air raid sirens across the region.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz described the operation as essential to "eliminate threats to the State of Israel," following failed nuclear talks and Iran's missile advancements. President Donald Trump announced the US involvement in a Truth Social video, vowing to "destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry" while urging Iranian forces to surrender and civilians to overthrow the regime.
Iran swiftly retaliated, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) firing ballistic missiles at US bases in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, including the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain's Juffair district. Missiles also targeted Israel, with explosions over Jerusalem and interceptions by IDF defenses. Airspace closures spanned Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, and Gulf states, halting flights amid fears of broader conflict.
Will Bitcoin once more demonstrate its resilience in the mist of chaos this time too? I think it will, I strongly agree with Tim. #USIsraelStrikeIran
