Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Ukraine does not want to “lose the Americans” as global attention moves toward the growing conflict in the Middle East.

The war between Ukraine and Russia has been going on for more than four years. However, the recent crisis in the Middle East is now taking much of the world’s political and military attention. Ukrainian officials fear this could reduce support from the United States.

Zelensky said he is concerned that weapons deliveries and military aid could slow down because the U.S. is using large amounts of ammunition in its operations against Iran. He warned that this situation could cause delays in sending important defensive weapons to Ukraine.

Ukraine relies heavily on military support from the United States to defend itself against Russia. If U.S. attention and resources shift toward the Middle East, Kyiv worries it may become harder to maintain its defense.

Zelensky also revealed that Ukrainian drone experts are helping some Gulf countries deal with drone attacks linked to Iran. According to him, Ukrainian teams are advising partners on how to defend cities and military bases from drone strikes.

The Ukrainian leader also claimed that Russia has helped Iran develop drones, including systems similar to those used in attacks during the Ukraine war.

Overall, Ukrainian officials fear that the Middle East conflict could divert global focus and military resources, making it more difficult for Ukraine to continue its fight against Russia. Analysts say this shift in attention could have major consequences for the future of the war.
