Binance Upgrades VIP Holder Program (2023-11-27)

Fellow Binancians,

Binance is upgrading the VIP Holder Program with effect from 2023-11-27 04:00 (UTC). 

Key Updates:

1. VIP Holder Program requirements now vary based on whether a user qualifies for VIP 1-3 under the Trader VIP program, as outlined in the table below.

2. Assets held in the Earn Account are no longer included in the calculation of VIP Holder Program asset holdings.

New VIP Holder Program Structure: 

Path A: For all users 

Path B: For VIP 1-3 users under the Trader VIP Program 

Binance VIP Holder Program Eligibility 

Users’ eligibility for the VIP Holder Program is based on three factors:

1. Trader VIP Level (if applicable)

2. Daily average BNB balance

3. Asset holdings, calculated as the higher of:

   1. 30-day average asset holding, or

   2. Asset holding from the previous day

If a user qualifies for a higher VIP level under any Binance VIP program, the highest applicable VIP level will apply. Under the Binance VIP Holder program, users can be upgraded up to VIP 4 maximum.

Notes:

• Examples: 

  • Example 1: Non-Trader VIP User 

    • User A has a daily average BNB holding amount of 50 BNB, and their daily asset holding of the previous day is equivalent to 1,000,000 USDT. 

    • User A is not a participant of the Trader VIP program.

    • User A is upgraded to VIP 1 under the VIP Holder Program.

  • Example 2: Trader VIP User

    • User B has a daily average BNB holding amount of 50 BNB and a 30-day average asset holding amount of 1,000,000 USDT equivalent

    • User B is already qualified for VIP 1 under the Trader VIP program. 

    • User B is upgraded to VIP 2 under the VIP Holder Program. 

• Asset Holding Calculations:

  • BNB holdings will be excluded from the calculation of 30-day average asset holding and the daily asset holding of the previous day.

  • 30-Day Average Asset Holding (USDT equivalent) = Sum of Daily Asset Holding (USDT equivalent) in the past 30 days / 30 (days) 

  • Daily Asset Holding (USDT equivalent) = Spot Account assets + Funding Account assets + Margin Account assets + Futures Account assets + Option Account assets (excluding BNB holdings). 

  • The USDT equivalent of assets in these Accounts will be used to calculate the daily asset holding.

  • A snapshot of the Daily Asset Holding will be taken at 23:59:59 (UTC) using the real-time USDT exchange rate. 

• Upgrade Timing:

  • Users who meet the VIP requirements will be upgraded between 01:00 (UTC) to 06:00 (UTC) daily.

• Broker accounts are not eligible for the VIP Holder Program.

• Please visit VIP Fee Structure or User Center to confirm your current VIP level.

• The BNB balance requirement is unchanged. For more information, read our BNB Balance Calculation rules.

• Binance will combine the daily asset holdings in managed sub-accounts with the daily asset holdings in the trading team’s master account for the calculation of users’ 30-day average asset holdings.

• All asset holding amounts and metrics related to the Program are measured by Binance at its sole and absolute discretion. Binance reserves the rights to the review and final approval of tier adjustments, in line with internal requirements.

• Binance reserves the right to amend or terminate this Program at its sole discretion.

• Where any discrepancy arises between the translated versions and the original English version, the English version shall prevail.
