The Ministry of Public Security of China has released a draft law on the prevention and control of cybercrime, seeking public opinion. The draft clearly prohibits individuals and organizations from intentionally concealing, transferring, purchasing, or selling virtual currencies involved in illegal activities. According to NS3, the draft also prohibits providing services for the circulation of funds using virtual currencies if these funds are identified as criminal proceeds.
