The popularity of this tool once drove the sales of Mac Mini to rise, becoming a symbolic product of the AI Agent craze at the beginning of 2026.

On this basis, Matt Schlicht (@MattPRD) launched Moltbook on January 28, 2026—a social platform exclusively for AI Agents.

The design completely mimics Reddit (with submolt, posts, comments, and voting mechanisms), but humans can only watch and cannot post.

This is equivalent to throwing tens of thousands of Agents with different contexts, skills, and memories into a 'big room', allowing them to interact freely: mocking humans, discussing philosophy, sharing toolchains, and even attempting to invent an exclusive language for Agents or create a 'religion'.
