In this episode, we visit Guizhou to meet a child with severe autism—Xiao Qing.
Xiao Qing is currently assessed as having a Level 1 intellectual disability, along with severe autism and ADHD, and was diagnosed with epilepsy two years ago.
He has almost no language or cognitive abilities and is completely unable to take care of himself, requiring round-the-clock care.
What is even more heartbreaking is that Xiao Qing's family has four children, including a pair of twins who also have severe intellectual disabilities and experience frequent seizures.
The family almost travels between hospitals every day, and the long-term pressure of treatment and care makes it difficult for them to breathe.
The mother cannot go out to work and can only stay by the child's side 24 hours a day;
The father works outside, earning a meager and extremely unstable income.
In the face of this heavy reality, they are still trying to persevere.
In this episode, the Duck Community donates 1000 yuan to Xiao Qing's family.
At the same time, based on the child's current situation, we also provided the family with some executable and sustainable rehabilitation and care suggestions, hoping to bring real, concrete, and feasible support for the child's growth and for this family to continue to persevere under extremely limited resources.
