The governments of Venezuela and the Dominican Republic announced on February 1, 2026, the official reactivation of their consular services in Caracas and Santo Domingo, following a process of bilateral coordination that both foreign ministries described as a joint effort to strengthen diplomatic relations.
According to the statement issued by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the consulates of the Dominican Republic in Caracas and Venezuela in Santo Domingo will resume operations in the coming days, aiming to assist and provide services to the communities of both countries residing in those cities.
