The earliest I had a closer look at USD1 was actually through articles by Pump Pump and Prince. At that time, I only knew a little bit.

To be honest, before looking at USD1, my perspective was similar to that of most people in the industry; I viewed it more as an "arbitrage tool":

Good liquidity, easy to invest in new projects, especially now that it’s combined with Binance's activities, using it as a "financial shovel" for idle funds.

This is certainly not wrong haha, but after reading Zak Folkman's sharing this week, I realized that my previous perspective might have been a bit narrow.

We are too accustomed to viewing stablecoins in the context of "trading," but we overlook that "payment" is the big elephant in the room that is often ignored.

Everyone can ask themselves a question: why does the world still need a new stablecoin? It's not just to make trading cryptocurrencies more convenient, but because the flow of funds in the real world is too "painful."

For freelancers: receiving a few hundred dollars in overseas wages might take 3-5 days, and the intermediary bank could take away dozens of dollars in fees.

For inflationary regions: holding local currency equates to asset depreciation, and wanting to exchange for dollars but having no channels to do so.

For business owners: cross-border settlement feels like navigating a maze, with very low capital turnover efficiency.

What USD1 is actually targeting are these "non-crypto natives"; its design logic is very counterintuitive—it’s even free to transfer on BNB Chain.

What does this mean? It means they want to make "transfers" as easy as sending a WeChat message: zero cost, instant arrival, and no borders.

To briefly share my view: if USDT is for getting you in and out of exchanges, and USDC is for compliant institutions to enter the market, then what USD1 aims to do is to be a "cash alternative". It doesn’t require you to understand blockchain technology; you just need a mobile phone.

This ability of "seamless payment" is the path that allows cryptocurrency to step out of its small circle! Alright, that's it for today! #USD1 #稳定币
