Samples from asteroid Bennu contain sugars and "space gum": Analysis of the rock and dust samples delivered to Earth by the OSIRIS-REx mission revealed six different types of sugar, as well as other key molecules that are building blocks of life. This supports the hypothesis that asteroids may have delivered organic compounds to early Earth.
