🚨 The U.S. is shaking again: DHS on the verge of closure. Shutdown 2.0 tomorrow?
Washington cannot calm down. The temporary funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) expires on February 13. If there is no decision by tomorrow night — we face another shutdown.
What is really happening:
Democrats have launched an attack on ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and are demanding radical reforms: body cameras on agents, mask bans, restrictions on warrants. Republicans are holding their ground. While they are measuring ratings, Congress is already packing for vacation.
Why does it matter to us?
Volatility: The market cannot stand uncertainty. Last fall, we already saw a 43-day government shutdown marathon, and in February — a brief "demo-mode" for 4 days.
Nerves on edge: Any delay in funding puts pressure on the dollar and could potentially fuel crypto (as a safe asset) or lead to a sharp drop due to panic in the market.
My opinion - congressmen will stretch it to the last second to secure bonuses for themselves and will go on vacation, leaving the market in a suspended state.
While politicians are playing games, we are waiting for movements in BTC. It could get heated over the weekend. What do you think, another bluff or this time they will really "turn off the lights"?
