The momentum was insane, and it felt like Bitcoin had no ceiling. Anyone trying to short it back then was basically asking to get wiped out. The trend was too powerful, and conviction across the market was at another level.

But now in 2026, my approach has changed. I’m confidently shorting Bitcoin, and I’m not worried about it. That doesn’t mean I’ve lost faith in crypto—it means I’ve learned that markets move in cycles. Blind belief doesn’t work forever. Strategy matters more than emotions.
