Binance Announces First Offering with Franklin Templeton
Binance has launched its first collaboration with Franklin Templeton, marking a significant step in connecting traditional finance with digital asset markets.
Through this initiative, institutional clients can now use tokenized shares of Franklin Templeton’s money market fund—issued via the Benji Technology Platform—as off-exchange collateral for trading on Binance.
This structure allows institutions to:
• Maintain exposure to a regulated money market fund
• Improve capital efficiency
• Reduce the need to move assets on-exchange
• Access crypto trading while holding yield-generating collateral
By enabling tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) to function as collateral in digital markets, the partnership bridges infrastructure between TradFi and crypto. It demonstrates how blockchain technology can enhance liquidity management, transparency, and operational flexibility for institutional participants.
The integration reflects a broader shift toward tokenization of traditional financial instruments—bringing established asset managers and crypto-native platforms into closer alignment.
