NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Vladimir Putin’s attempts to break Ukraine are futile.
After his visit to Kyiv, he emphasized that he personally witnessed the consequences of Russia’s continuous attacks and was convinced of the resilience of the Ukrainian people: “Putin is trying to break the people of Ukraine, but the Ukrainians have repeatedly proven that they cannot be broken.”
At the same time, Rutte stressed that for a just peace to be achieved, Ukraine needs continued support from its allies, including NATO countries.
