Since December 2025, Solana activated the Firedancer client on its mainnet.

​What does it mean? It is new software that makes the network much harder to take down. Before, Solana would sometimes "go down" when there were a lot of people. With Firedancer running and stabilizing now in 2026, Solana has become much more reliable for large (institutional) investors. That's why, even if the price drops, the technology is stronger than ever.
