Stablecoin-Native Contracts — Built-In Defaults
Usually, developers build fee abstraction, sponsorship, and payment logic at the application layer.
Plasma shifts some of that into protocol-level contracts. Stablecoin-native contracts handle common financial flows by default.
That reduces redundancy. Multiple apps don’t need to reinvent the same payment logic.
For users, the difference may not be visible. But for developers, it can shorten deployment cycles.
It also subtly changes ecosystem direction. When financial flows are baked into the network, apps tend to align around payments, remittances, and dollar settlement.
The question is flexibility. Built-in defaults must remain adaptable. Finance evolves quickly.
Still, embedding financial assumptions at the base layer makes Plasma feel less like a general-purpose chain and more like dedicated payment infrastructure.
