Work is becoming less and less related to the number of people on staff 🤑
In 1985, the largest company in the USA had #IBM — about 400,000 employees.
Today, among the leaders in capitalization — #Nvidia :
▪️ market value is approximately 20 times higher;
▪️ profit (adjusted for inflation) is approximately 5 times greater;
▪️ employees are almost 10 times fewer.
The size of the team is no longer a key factor in business scalability. Technologies have radically increased labor productivity and allowed for comparable or greater added value with fewer resources.
#ИИ reinforces this trend: automation affects not only manufacturing but also development, analytics, and management. The need for routine and partially intellectual labor is decreasing.
Income from work is increasingly limited to wages, while the main capital growth is formed through asset ownership. Throughout the entire public history, Nvidia's stock has risen by approximately 477,925% — the primary benefit has gone to capital holders, not hired employees without a stake in the company.
