After a wave of criticism, the platform clarified its rules mandatory age verification for all users will not be implemented. Only a small subset of users will need to verify their age those whose age the system cannot automatically determine.
For most users, the update won’t change the usual experience: AI age assessment will continue to run in the background.
Additional verification (via video or documents) will only be required in specific cases for example, to access 18+ servers or “sensitive” content.
