THE WHALE IS 'SINKING' WITH A LONG ETH ORDER OF 115 MILLION DOLLARS - 15X LEVERAGE: SMART MONEY OR IS THE 'SHARK' SUBMITTING TO THE EXCHANGE?
Lately, the whale alert bot has been ringing continuously, many people are blindly all-in following the big whales. But look at this 'huge' order, don't rush to FOMO or you'll get wrecked!
This is a Long ETH position worth ~115 million USD using 15x leverage. Entry price: $2,059
But the current reality (February 2026):
🔸ETH price is hovering around $1,930 - $1,950 (dumping hard ~5% in 24h).
🔸Unrealized PnL: Heavily negative ~$6.4M - $6.6M (ROE -83%+).
🔸Liquidation price: $1,318 - $1,329 (still quite far off but with 15x leverage, just need to dump another ~30-35% for it to 'disappear' completely).
THIS IS NOT ORDINARY SMART MONEY
🔸This whale previously rebuilt its position after losing ~$9.6M from an old order (liquidated and then deposited new margin of $7.5M to reopen). Now it's holding a large loss, with remaining margin of ~$27M but a drawdown over 40%. This is the kind of 'stubborn bullish' not safe on-chain accumulation spot.
🔸Market makers & perp exchanges must be 'wide-eyed': A liquidity chunk of 115M hanging, liquidation price is dangerously low – just need to create FUD, drop the wick down to near $1,300 to 'clean out', take fees + free liquidity. Many other whales have also 'died' similarly earlier this year (losing hundreds of millions).
ADVICE
🔸Don't blindly follow high-leverage whale perps. Smart money usually spots holds or low leverage, not 15x all-in directional.
🔸This could be a 'liquidity trap' – if you chase now, you're voluntarily becoming 'beef' for it to unload or for the exchange to sweep.
🔸ETH is bearish short-term (below $2k, weak sentiment), waiting for a confirmed bottom + real volume before going long.
