⚖️ SafeMoon Case Conclusion: Braden John Karony Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

The former head of the once-sensational SafeMoon project, 29-year-old Braden John Karony, has received the verdict from the Eastern District Court of New York. The final judgment—8 years in prison and significant financial losses.

Key points of the ruling:

Prison term: 8 years of imprisonment. Asset forfeiture: pay a $7.5 million fine and turn over two properties to the authorities. Charges: conspiracy to commit securities fraud and money laundering.

Where did the investors' money go?

Investigations confirmed that Karony embezzled over $9 million. He failed to fulfill his commitment to lock liquidity to support the ecosystem and instead squandered the funds on a 'luxurious lifestyle': purchasing a $2.2 million mansion in Utah and assembling a luxury car fleet (including an Audi R8, Tesla, and a custom Ford F-550).

As a reminder, in February 2025, the project's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Thomas Smith also pleaded guilty, while SafeMoon's founder Kyle Nagy is still wanted.

This serves as a reminder that the transparency of smart contracts and the credibility of founders are by no means empty words. Please protect your assets!🛡️
