John Lee Ka-chiu (@CEHKSARLee ) said the HKMA is actively processing stablecoin issuer license applications, with the first batch expected to be approved next month.

Speaking at #Consensus Hong Kong 2026, he highlighted Hong Kong’s unique strengths under “One Country, Two Systems” and reaffirmed its goal to become a global digital asset and Web3 innovation hub.
