Key points to remember

  • Anyone claiming to be a Binance employee (BD, partner, account manager, customer service...) must be verified by Binance Verify.

    → Unverified = untrusted.

  • Stop immediately if they ask for:

    • Download/open file (especially compressed files)

    • Send account screenshots, balance

    • Scan QR to log in

    • Enable remote control, share screen

    • Click strange links or share passwords

  • If you have accidentally opened a file or sent a photo: contact Binance Support immediately and secure your account.

A real incident: from 'registration form' to loss of assets.

  • Scammers impersonate Binance representatives, promising increased rebates.

  • Send a compressed file called 'rebate registration form'.

  • Users open the file + send photos of assets.

  • Then they are asked to deposit money (initially 50,000 USDT, after 'special offer' down to 30,000+ USDT).

  • Finally, the scammer requests to scan a QR code to log in, take over the account, and withdraw all assets.

  • Analysis later shows that the file seems to be .docx but actually acts like malware (.dll).

Don't trust 'reasons', look at 'actions'.

Scams can hide under many stories that sound very reasonable:

rewards, rebates, account upgrades, security checks…

👉 Danger always begins when they ask you to act, especially:

  • Open file.

  • Send account photos.

  • Scan QR.

  • Enable remote / screen share.

3 common signs of scams.

1. Looks 'very official' but cannot be verified.

Avatar, name, bio, large group are not evidence.

2. Send compressed files containing malware.

Files named 'form', 'application', 'instructions'... but may run malware as soon as opened.

3. Wait for you to have money before taking action.

Initially, the conversation seems normal, but when you deposit money → they ask for confirmation photos → request QR login or remote control.

What is Binance Verify?

  • Official tools to verify:

    • Email.

    • Link.

    • Is the social media account truly owned by Binance?

  • No need for a Binance account to use.

  • Cannot verify → consider it a scam.

Binance employees NEVER do the following:

  1. Send files, compressed files, installers through unofficial channels.

  2. Telling you to click strange links to 'apply' for rebates or promotions.

  3. Requesting photos of balances, assets, UID, PnL.

  4. Requesting to scan QR to log in.

  5. Sharing or requesting to use seed phrases.

  6. Telling you to transfer money to 'verify' or 'secure'.

👉 If encountering any of the above → stop and verify immediately.
If you have accidentally been accessed or suspect falling into a trap.

  • Stop all communication immediately.

  • Check assets and transaction history.

  • Change password, reset security & 2FA.

  • Remove device / strange login session.

  • Scan for viruses, switch to a clean device if necessary.

  • Contact Binance Support through official channels.

    Brief conclusion.

  • Always verify first, act later.

  • Do not open strange files, do not send account photos, do not scan QR codes as directed by others.

  • Suspicions → Binance Verify + Binance Support.
