exchange #Bithumb has apologized to users for a serious technical error, as a result of which the company mistakenly transferred Bitcoin worth more than $40 billion to users.
Following the incident, the platform experienced severe temporary volatility.
According to the French news agency AFP , the company stated that "during a promotional campaign on Friday, 695 users were supposed to receive a small amount."
"However, due to an error, each user was transferred approximately 2,000 Bitcoin, totaling 620,000 Bitcoins.
