$CFX Conflux (CFX) is the native cryptocurrency of Conflux Network, a public layer 1 blockchain designed to provide high scalability, low latency, and compatibility with Ethereum. It uses a unique hybrid mechanism called Tree-Graph, which allows multiple blocks to be processed in parallel, achieving much greater performance than other chains like Ethereum or Bitcoin. Additionally, it is the only public network authorized to operate in China, giving it a significant strategic advantage over other blockchains that face regulatory restrictions in that country.
The CFX token is used to pay transaction fees, participate in governance, earn rewards for staking, and compensate validators and developers. The network also offers interoperability with other blockchains through its ShuttleFlow bridge, facilitating the transfer of assets between chains such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, and more. Although it has made significant technical advancements, it still faces challenges such as the concentration of activity in a few accounts and a recent decline in active usage. Despite this, it remains a promising option within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
