According to ChainCatcher, at the recent "Build and Scale in 2026" themed forum held in Hong Kong, Chief Trade's Deputy Director of Research Eric Chong delivered a speech discussing the theme of connecting finance with Web3. He stated that high-net-worth investors have a strong demand for secure and compliant crypto asset channels, which is the core driving force for traditional financial institutions to enter Web3.

Eric Chong pointed out that Hong Kong's regulatory framework provides a secure environment for institutions to participate in the crypto market, but investors are more focused on participating in emerging asset classes through regulated and compliant channels. Chief Trade will focus on providing regulated crypto trading services, expanding the digital asset product line, and enhancing investor education.

He believes that traditional financial institutions' advantages in financial credibility, compliance frameworks, and ecological connectivity will help guide investors steadily into the digital asset field, while the integration of Web3 and traditional finance has become an irreversible structural trend.
