According to Jinshi data, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies of France reported that the unemployment rate in mainland France is expected to rise by 0.2 percentage points to 7.9% in the fourth quarter of 2025, a significant increase of 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous quarter. The number of unemployed has increased by 56,000, bringing the total to 2,500,000.

The employment rate for the 15-64 age group remains unchanged at 69.4%. By age group, the unemployment rate for young people aged 15-24 has significantly increased by 2.4 percentage points to 21.5%; while the unemployment rate for the 25-49 age group has decreased by 0.2 percentage points to 6.9%.
