9 Days Into the Iran-US Conflict: Market Impact and Military Stalemate
It’s been 9 days already. So much has happened, and so much misinformation has been spread, but one thing is clear:
Iran is not as weak as many expected.
The US is not as strong as everyone assumed.
At this point, numbers don’t matter anymore — how many US bases in the Middle East were hit, how many bombings Iran carried out on Israel or even on its own soil. The bigger picture is what matters: after 9 days, Iran is still standing. Not being able to take Iran down in such a short time is itself a kind of failure.
Interestingly, over these 9 days, the intensity of the conflict seems to be easing. Bombings from both sides are not as heavy as they were in the early days. Even the market impact seems to be fading — at least until new developments shake things up again.
So, the big question now: is today’s peak in crude oil prices the peak for this phase?
I’ll leave that for everyone to consider.
