हालांकि इस मॉडल की अपनी चुनौतियाँ भी हैं। proofs बनाने में latency आ सकती है क्योंकि computations heavy हो सकते हैं। high-end hardware वाले nodes dominance कर सकते हैं जिससे centralization risk बढ़ सकता है। slashing complexity भी एक मुद्दा है क्योंकि गलत proofs को detect करना और penalize करना तकनीकी रूप से जटिल है। adoption curve भी समय लेगा क्योंकि rollups और dApps को इस मॉडल के साथ integrate करने में प्रयास लगेगा।

फिर भी Boundless का PoVW consensus यह दिखाता है कि consensus सिर्फ़ blocks validate करने का तरीका नहीं बल्कि global compute economy का architecture भी हो सकता है। यह hybrid मॉडल है जिसमें PoS की economic security और PoW की काम करने की ethos दोनों का मेल है। फर्क बस इतना है कि Boundless का work puzzles नहीं बल्कि verifiable और उपयोगी compute है।

अगले पाँच सालों में staking और mining जैसे शब्द obsolete होकर सिर्फ़ एक नया शब्द बचेगा verifiable work।
