I have been in this field for a long time, and I can tell you: the technology changes, but the greed they target stays the same. Today, February 22, we are seeing a massive spike in "Operation DoppelBrand"—sophisticated scams targeting chat apps like Telegram and WhatsApp.
1. The "Support" Trap 🎧
If you are in a Telegram group and "Binance Support" or a "Famous Influencer" DMs you first: It is 100% a scam.
The 2026 Trick: They use AI voice-cloning to make it sound like a real person on a call. The Reality: Official support will NEVER message you first, and they will NEVER ask for your password, 2FA code, or seed phrase.
2. The "Google Coin" & Fake AI Sites 🤖
Scammers are now creating polished websites for fake projects like "Google Coin" or "Gemini AI Tokens."
The Red Flag: They use fake "Gemini" chatbots on their sites to answer your questions and build trust. The Rule: If a project isn't listed on a major exchange like Binance or verified on official company handles, it doesn't exist. Don't let a "slick" website steal your
$BNB .
3. Typosquatting (The "Lookalike" Link) 🔗
Check your browser bar carefully. Scammers buy ads to appear at the top of search results.
The Scam: biinance.com or coinbase-support.net.The Defense: Bookmark the real binance.com and only use that bookmark. Never click "Sponsored" links on search engines.
The "Late Night" Safety Checklist:
2FA is NOT Optional: Use a hardware key or Google Authenticator.Anti-Phishing Code: Enable this in your Binance settings so you know every email is real. The "Too Good" Rule: If someone promises you 10% daily returns, they aren't helping you—they are "Pig Butchering" you.
In crypto, you are your own bank. Don't give the keys to a stranger.
