I don’t think it will.
But I still use Hyperliquid.
Now let me explain why someone like Arthur Hayes believes the HYPE token could reach $150, and why the idea is not completely crazy.

First: the revenue flywheel
The main reason behind Hayes’ thesis is simple: Hyperliquid prints revenue.
Unlike many DeFi tokens, HYPE is tied directly to trading fees. The protocol uses about 97% of its revenue to buy HYPE from the open market, effectively creating constant buy pressure when trading activity rises...

So the logic is:
More traders → more fees → more buybacks → higher price.
Hayes estimates that if Hyperliquid’s annualized revenue rises from about $843M to $1.4B, the token could justify a valuation around $150.
That would be roughly a 5× move from around $30.
Second: the CEX → DEX migration
Another key part of the thesis is the shift from centralized exchanges to on-chain trading.
Hyperliquid already captured around 6% of derivatives volume, and Hayes thinks that gaining just ~4% more market share from centralized exchanges could be enough to hit his revenue targets.

In other words:

So while I’m not betting on $150…
