Investors panicked and moved from risk-on assets (stocks, crypto) to safe-haven assets (gold). The effects are still lingering.The Accelerator: Long Squeeze (Cascade Liquidations)! This is the MAIN REASON the drop was so fast and deep.Before the fall, the market was saturated with traders holding high-leverage long positions, betting on a price increase.When the price dipped slightly (due to Point 1), their positions began to get liquidated (force-sold).The Domino Effect: Liquidations -> Price Drops -> Triggers More Liquidations -> Price Drops Further.
