Fabric Protocol is based on a technique known as Proof of Robotic Work. Rather than spending money on guesses, it is valuable when actual robots can perform tasks that can be verified, such as mapping, maintenance or gathering information.
In my opinion, this alters the standard crypto set-up. Fabric has a vision of connecting the real robotic work to on-chain rewards and transforming physical work into digital value.
