Last August, Ukraine offered the United States its battle tested technology for intercepting Iranian “Shahed” drones and proposed joint production, according to Axios.
The administration of Donald Trump declined the offer at the time. However, after more intense than expected attacks by Iranian drones in the current conflict, the U.S. has now reportedly turned to Ukraine for help in countering drones.
Officials say rejecting the earlier proposal may have been a serious tactical mistake, as low cost Iranian drones have already inflicted losses on U.S. forces and forced costly defensive measures.
